Description
This turn-key vacation rental is island living at its best all year long. While the winter "season" offers refuge from the cold, summertime offers its own special experiences. If you're lucky, you may see a loggerhead turtle nesting in the white-sand dunes and sea oats on your private beach. This casual and comfortable 3,000 sq. ft. ranch home has an unobstructed sweeping view of the Gulf of Mexico that reaches from the north Venice jetty to Siesta Key. Casey Key is a small and narrow barrier island that provides privacy, quiet, spectacular sunsets and an abundance of wildlife. Dolphins, manatees and tarpon migrate offshore. Osprey and pelicans put on a show soaring and diving for fish. Ibis, egrets and sandpipers are just a few of the species that scamper and feed in the shoreline. The tides can wash up mounds of seashells to sort through as well as prehistoric shark's teeth. Although there isn't a dock, there's room for a boat trailer with public launches to the north and south, both approximately 3 miles away. You can escape from the crowds. Monthly rentals have priority, but will consider weekly rentals. One week rate: $5,000; two-week rate: $8,250; three-week rate: $11,000. Rentals of less than six months are subject to 13% tax.
